I am a member of the IUCN Species Survival Commission, specifically within the Sirenia Specialist Group, and hold a position at the Center for Transdisciplinary Science and Sustainability at the Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). My research endeavors largely employ a social-ecological framework to offer comprehensive insights into sustainability phenomena in Indonesia’s coastal and small island regions.

I joined Yapeka in June 2008. Yapeka has become like a family that has provided me with numerous experiences and lessons about nature conservation and community empowerment. Being a part of Yapeka up to the present moment carries the responsibility of nurturing the next generation of Yapeka, ensuring that its role continues to thrive for the preservation of nature and the empowerment of Indonesian communities.
